FAQ

Let me tell you a little bit about myself
My name is Eric Terry and own and operate Linty Fresh out of my house in Marietta, Georgia. I started designing shirts back in high school for bands and school clubs, and later businesses and sports teams. As most designers and artists will tell you, working for others can be a draining experience (both creatively and otherwise), so in order to keep myself going I started entering creative t-shirt design competitions, the largest of which was Threadless.

Though none of my submissions there ever went to print, they scored well. The most positively received design was Once Upon a War, and the amount of support eventually gave me the motivation to print it myself. Within just hours of announcing my plans, I was receiving payments for pre-orders, which blew me away!

A few months later, I had enough cash (drawing solely from the sales of the first tee) to print Nuclear Moonlight, my second tee. And after another season or so, my third, Real Heroes. As inventory slowly increased, so did sales, and eventually I was able to print more and more regularly.

It’s been just over two years since I printed my first shirt, and I’m currently releasing at least one new design on the 1st of each month. I’ve also recently started expanding into new products like belts and buttons, with plans for much bigger things in the works. Although I’m still no big name brand by any means, I appreciate that my small size allows me to oversee every aspect of Linty Fresh, from design to order fulfillment.

One of the most rewarding things to me is being able to communicate with customers one-on-one, getting their feedback on new products and suggestions on future releases. This kind of interaction is something I don’t experience much in dealing with other companies, and I’m thankful that I can offer it to those who shop here. :D

Why aren't all your shirts avaiable in guys' and girls' styles?
For the first few prints, it was more cost-effective to print only on guys’ style shirts. But beginning with UPC, you can expect both guys’ and girls’ styles for each design!
What kind of shirts do you print on?
Originally I printed the guys’ shirts on 50/50 (meaning 50% cotton, 50% polyester) Fruit of the Loom, but with the newer shirts I’ve printed on all-cotton American Apparel shirts. They’re softer and sweatshop-free. All girls’ shirts are American Apparel, though. (Note: shirts may shrink slightly after washing since they are not preshrunk.) For specific sizing guides, see the product pages. They’ll have links to the official sites with all the info you need.
Why do the prices vary for different designs?
The first few designs were done on lower quality shirts (50/50 Fruit of the Loom) for guys, but the newer ones are American Apparrel, so the price has gone up a few bucks. Each product page has links to the shirt brand’s site and sizing guide, so be sure to check those if you aren’t sure which you’ll fit.
I'm poor! Can I get a discount?
Most coupons are posted in advance on my blog, so be sure to check that. You can even RSS it if it strikes your fancy. Typically, coupons are released for specific dates and times, so if you can manage to keep up to date with the posts, you should be due for a discount sooner or later, as I like to host sales often.

Or, heck, just email me. If you’ve got an interesting story or some pics of you sporting Linty Freshness for all the world to see, I’ll probably be inclined to set up a coupon just for you!

Any special washing instructions?
Designs will last the longest if shirts are machine-washed inside-out in cold water. Be sure to wash dark colors separately, and don’t iron the design or have the shirt dry cleaned! Also, hang-drying the shirts is preferable, but not really necessary.
Can I change my order?
If you find that you’ve made an error in the order, please contact me immediately!. I’ll do my best to fix the error. Keep in mind, however, that orders that have already been processed cannot be changed. In this case you’ll just have to send it back once you receive it. Unfortunately I won’t be able to reimburse the shipping charges, but I’ll do my best to get you exactly what you need.
How long to orders take to ship?
Generally, domestic orders are shipped within 24 hours of being placed and take 3 or 4 days to arrive. International orders can take 1-3 days to ship, due to Post Office times and me needing the assistance of an actual employee to finalize the shipment. International delivery times will range from 1-2 weeks, depending on where you are. Of course, none of these are guarantees, so it’d be a good idea to allow a week for your domestic order to arrive after being placed and 2-3 weeks for an international order. If you need it sooner than that, contact me directly for additional shipping methods.
What happens if I want to return a shirt?
If you’ve received the wrong product or the shirt is defective, you may choose to either be reimbursed for store credit or to exchange it for a different shirt. Contact me for mailing information. When you send it back, include a note to specify whether you’d like the store credit or an exchange (if an exchange, specify the size and design you’d like instead) and I’ll fix it right away!
